When your child is enrolled in a uniform enforcing private  school like my daughter,  ”Back to School” fashion is far from fun and definitely not fabulous! Your choices are pretty limited (blue skirt or black skirt, blue polo-shirt or white polo-shirt) which leaves for a lame  and lifeless fall wardrobe.

Luckily I have the Jewish High Holidays to keep me busy looking for the hautest kiddie couture and snap me out of the uniform blues and into the chicest clothing around.

I love Fall fashion. After month’s of  flimsy flip-flops, bikini’s and bathing suit cover-ups I look forward to switching it up and slipping into boots, dresses and more structured  styles. Surely enough so does my 11 year old fashionista in the making mini-me daughter, Alexa.

With lines like  ”Matooka” (which literally means “sweet” in Hebrew), Alexa and I we can’t get enough of Fall  Fashion Fabulosity!!

The creators of Matooka, best friends and now business partners Yona Elishis and Daniella Kuhl who launched the contemporary girls line in 2009 have debuted a Fall line so sharp and so cool I even asked for custom dresses from the collection to be made in my size. YES, its that haute!

From dresses adorned with the season’s trendiest finishings like  bows and rosette’s shown in the hottest fall colors in shades of red, purple and of course plaid, the ladies at Matooka have out-done any kid couture collection I’ve seen this season. Both Elishis and Kuhl come from families filled with girls and have 7 daughters between them  leaving these two designing diva mom’s with the knowledge and hands on experience of what little girl’s love to wear and what Mom’s love to see their little girls wearing.

Mature yet young, stylish yet classy MATOOKA is the line to look at!
